PHYSICAL PROPERTIES.
Freshly sawn sipo has a red brown to violet colour. This colour changes to golden brown after prolonged exposure to light. Sipo is relatively easy to machine. It has a sometimes irregular grain and a medium coarse texture. Surface treatment of the wood requires relatively little effort. Drying the wood is very time-consuming.

Sipo is suitable both for manufacturing furniture, stairs and parquet floors and producing door and window frames.
